Frequently Asked Questions

Everything international students ask us about the ESNcard, our events and living in Madrid.

What is the ESNcard and what do I get with it?

The ESNcard is ESN’s membership card, and it gives you access to student-friendly discounts and benefits. At ESN URJC in Madrid, it also helps you join Erasmus events and activities more easily. You can use it for travel deals, leisure discounts, and partner offers across Spain and Europe, plus local perks shared by the URJC community.

How much does the ESNcard cost and how long is it valid?

The ESNcard has a small fee set by ESN URJC, and it’s typically valid for one academic year. That means you can use it throughout your Erasmus exchange in Madrid, from the moment you activate it until the end of the season. If you stay longer at URJC, you may need to renew it for the next year to keep the benefits.

How do I get my ESNcard at URJC?

You can get your ESNcard by completing a short request and then picking it up through ESN URJC. First, fill in the form at /esncard-form. Then wait for our confirmation with the pickup details in Madrid. Finally, bring an ID (and payment if needed) when you collect it at URJC or at an ESN event.

Can I get the ESNcard if I'm not an Erasmus student?

Usually no: at ESN URJC the ESNcard is intended only for incoming exchange students, so it’s mainly for Erasmus and other international mobility participants. If you are not an incoming student at URJC in Madrid, the form may show an “only for incoming students” warning and your request might be rejected. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll confirm your eligibility.
